Lissiante ( mare /Rheinland / brown )
Out
of this mating between
Floriante and Lissaro van de Helle we
were hoping for a foal that will, when the
time comes,
be convincing in the dressage ring but also be able to show a good jump. Above all, it should as a
cool and easy to
ride horse, be able to bring day after day a big smile into the riders face. Whether this has
worked out, we will
see as time goes by.
Little Lissiante was somewhat in a hurry to come into the world and was not
willing to wait for the calculated
date. Hence she was quite fine and needed a little bit time to develop.
More pictures and
information will follow soon.
The
sire Lissaro van de Helle is somewhat special in more than one regard. In 2008,
as a three year old, he
came into focus by winning the Bundeschampionat for 3 year old stallions, quite
remarkable for a horse bred for
jumping. But the next year was to become even more remarkable. Lissaro won not
only the Optimum in
Münster, the most prestigious competition for 4 year old horses, with
extraordinary marks (gallop and walk
10,0; total 9,58), he also managed to repeat his previous success at the
Bundeschampionat 2009. The rather
modest in appearance, very relaxed Lissaro had finally the winning edge against
strong competitors by winning
over both test riders. By taking the Bundeschampion title again in 2010 became
Lissaro not only the first horse
ever winning three titles he also proved that he very successfully managed the
transition from a riding horse to
a highly talented dressage horse.
What is rather special about Lissaro?...an excellent rideability - test riders
enthuse about, a high quality walk
- as only rarely seen, suppleness in all movements and finally all this rounded
off by a jumping potential as to
be expected based on his pedigree. Accordingly his 30 days test results:
10,0 Rideabiltiy, 9,88 Walk etc.. Lissaros double talent on a very high level
seems to be securely embedded
on both sides of his pedigree. Shown by his father Lissabon, winner of his 30
days test in both disciplines or
the grandsire Lordanos, sire of 28 approved stallions (e.g. Light On, Larson )
and known for easy to ride
jumping horses with remarkable good movements ( e.g. Lou - Meredith
Michaels-Beerbaum, Let's Fly - Rodrigo
Pessoa, Winner CSI**** in Rom 2009, Lucca - Anneke Wilharm, Lex Lugar -
Carsten-Otto Nagel, Derby Winner
Hamburg 2010, Laokoon - Hendrik Sosath 4. Hamburger Derby etc).
Lissaros mare line has produced more than 25 approved stallions and many
successful jumping and dressage
horses, eg the Landbeschäler Maurice by Matcho AA or Lissaros half brother
Giuliano by Graf Sponeck, approved
stallion and successful in jumping classes up to S***. Finally Lissaros sister
by Rotspon was recently able to
complete her mares test with a 10,0 for her loose jumping.
Grand
sire Florestan
– a legend in his lifetime. He is the unchallenged star of the westfalian
state stud
and can show off more than 70 licensed sons including german champions and
world champions.
Especially his safe inheritance of rideability, versatility and easy going
temperament has made him
the No 1 of the Westfalian breeders. Fidermark, Fürst Piccolo, Floribot, Fürst
Heinrich, Florencio and
Fleurop are listed substitutionally for the breeding sons and grandsons of the
Florestan dynasty
stationed all over Europe. Successful sport horses are for example Forrest
Gump NRW (Hubertus Schmidt),
Floriano Deux (Nicole Glaser-Käppeler),
Focus (Heinrich Wilhelm Johannsmann) and Formidable
(Franke Sloothaak).
Floriantes mother Lacoriante descends from a very well known dam line. Her mother Foliante, going back
to the
KWPN stud book, is also grand dam of the breeding stallion Le Maitre (from
Lanciano). Foliante's
mother, the studbook premium mare Zoliante, is one of the most successful brood mares of
the Rheinland.
She delivered several gold medal foals, auction highlights and national winners.
She consistently
passed on outstanding movements, for example to the approved full-brothers Dream
of Heidelberg I+II
from Donnerschlag. The older of the two, Dream of Heidelberg I is for
example responsible for Dormello,
winner of the Oldenburger stallion approval.
Dream of Heidelberg II, twice finalist of the german Bundeschampionat, has won
on Intermediare I level
and competes currently on Grand Prix level. Zoliante's daughter Goliante is the
mother of the approved
Del Vento, reserve winner of his performance test. Her daughter Cami
is the mother of the great moving
Brendula (now Burj al Arab), bought for 141.000 Euro by Victoria Max-Theurer
at the CHIO auction in
Aachen in 2007. Zoliante produced with Lardyante by Larome also an S-class
jumping horse.
Lacoriante's great-granddam Ramona brought with Eyecatcher (Leslie Burr-Lenehan
USA) and
Ewald (Emiel Hendrix NL) two internationally successful jumping horses and
was awarded the title
'Brood mare of the year' of the Netherlands in 1996.
