Calitano (Gelding,
Rheinland / Grey / 1,70 )
Calitano, a son of
Kalienke and the sport proven Cardento, is
difficult to be overlooked in his extraordinary
grey jacket. But that is not the only reason that he is something special.
Calitano a real gentleman in the stable, is a very versatile horse, showing talent for
jumping and dressage
He has got a lot of capacity and approaches the
fences very careful with a lot of oversight. We gave him
time to develop and so he did his first steps under the saddle as a four year old. Meanwhile he goes
very
nice under the saddle. He shows himself extremely easy to ride, always relaxed and
balanced.
Calitano has in the meantime found a wonderful new home where his versatility is much
appreciated.
We wish him good luck for the future and his new owners a lot of pleasure with him.
Calitano and Josefin are meanwhile competing successfully in jumping competitions on L-Level
(1,20m).
Calitano's father Cardento
( Flyinge National Stud Sweden ) won several big international competitions
under Peter Eriksson. He won several international championships as a member of the
Swedish national
team, silver at
the World Equestrian
Games in Jerez, as well as bronze at the Olympic games 2004 in
Athen. His
progeny are known for their exceptional jumping potential. They have won the national Swedish
free jumping
competitions for four years and dominated the Swedish young horses competitions. Cardento's
father is
non the less than the Holsteiner stallion of the century Capitol I. With
Lord as the dam's father
we find another just as prominent name. With Cottage Son xx and Manometer xx on Cardento's father side,
as well as Ladykiller xx, Cottage Son xx, Sacramento Song xx and Manometer's xx son Marconi
xx on the
dam's side Cardento has a very high influence of the best of best thoroughbred blood.
In Calitano's pedigree the
already thoroughbred loaden paper of Cardento meets the valuable
thoroughbred's Lucky Boy xx and Vesins xx on the dam's side.
