Only a few days old but already quite stable on her long legs.
Corwelle (Filly / Rheinland /
chestnut / )
Corwelle
is now our third foal by Calido I out of Donauwelle. But nevertheless she was
able to give us
a little surprise right away, when we looked into her beautiful chestnut face
after in total seven brown
siblings. Still a little bit shy she presents herself very lively and elegant.
Corwelle's
father Calido I (Cantus - Coriander - Roman – Aldato) highly successful shown
in show jumping
and currently one of the most popular and successful holsteiner breeding
stallions.
He finished his performance test 1994 in Adelheidsdorf on 4th place with the
highest jumping score
(140,4 ) of 53 stallions. In 1996 he won several jumping competitions level M,
as well as the final
qualification for the german Bundeschampionat in Warendorf. In the meantime a
huge number of his
progeny made it to the Bundeschampionships. 2004 was a special year for Calido
as a breeding stallion
since his son Coster became german Bundeschampion and his son Clintwood vice
champion of the five year
old jumping horses.
More than 50 jumping horses successful on S level feature Calido as their father
in their pedigree
e.g. EUROCOMMERCE Acapulco (G. Schröder/NL), Lyssah (Felix Hassmann), Calgary
(Y. Watanabe/Japan)
and Capitana G (M. Diedrichsmeier). The winner of the german riders
championships 2006/2007 Rene Tebbel
was in the saddle of Coupe de Coeur by Calido. Coupe de Coeur nominated for the
Olympic Games 2008 is
now under the saddle of Ludger Beerbaurm. Up to 2006 23 sons of
Calido received the stallion approval.
Calido's sire Cantus is known as one of the best breeding stallions for jumping
horses. Unfortunately he
was only available for a relatively short time, but nevertheless he produced
plenty of successful jumping
horses and 24 approved sons ( Canto, Catango Z, Cyrano, Come on…).
Calido’s grandsire Coriander was despite of his jumping pedigree known as a
successful dressage horse
under Wolfgang Schade. His grandfather Calypso I produced mainly jumping horses
but also plenty of
successful dressage horses.
Calido is inbred on Cor de la Bryere, and also through his Grandmother and the
mother of Cantus on the
first class breeding stallion Roman. Roman was successful on S level himself and
has a special reputation
for his highly successful breeding daughters. He is for example the grandsire of
Carolus I u.II, Tin Rocco,
Larome, Calvin and Cordeur.
The already performance driven, outstanding jumping pedigree of Calido is
valuable complemented by
Aldato, maybe the most influential son of Anblick xx and grandsire of Landgraf I.
Corwelle's mother
Donauwelle stems from the Westfalian stallion Der Clou (LdB Warendorf). Der
Clou
comes out of the westfalian D-Linie, that goes back to hannoverian stallions
and was founded by the
thoroughbred Devil's Own xx . The line of Dollart, which is the one Der Clou
stems from, produced mainly
jumping and eventing horses. Corwelle's grand-dam is the Westfalian state
premium mare Piroschka, her
and her mothers progeny won M/A and were placed in S show jumping competitions.

Calido by Cantus 16 years old at the stallion show Stable Maas Hell 2007,
successful in show jumping and father of many international successful sport
horses
