Larido (Gelding, Rheinland / Brown / 1,70m )
Larido, son of Donauwelle
and the Holsteiner Larioni shows great jumping potential. He has got plenty of
jumping capacity and an impressive motivation to reach the other side of the
fence. On top of this very
positive attitude and his rideability, he always attracts attention with his
athletic appearance and his very
special charisma. Larido has competed successfully in jumping classes up to M level
(1,35m).
Larioni has won the Holsteiner stallion
approval. He is out of the last croup of foals
out of the great
Landgraf I, probably the most successful producer of sport horses of all
times. A life-sized statue in
bronce
was dedicated to Landgraf I by the Holsteiner breeders.
Larioni qualified for
the German Championships, but was sold to Great Britain just before the
competition.
Even though he left only a limited number of progeny in germany he produced with Pamina
a mare going to the final ring of the elite show and some jumping horses
competing successfully. We are
also quite happy to have with Lades a second very
talented son of Larioni in our stable (3/4 same pedigree
as Larido).
Larioni's mother Sofia
is also grandmother of the breeding stallion Lordanos (PB Oldenburg).
Her sire
Calypso I is one of best Holsteiner stallions, proven by a large number of
successful
sporthorses in jumping and dressage.
With Ramiro you can not only find another stallion of the century in third
generation, but also a very
special line breeding component. Larioni as well as Ramiro are both descending
out of the successful
mare line 776. Out of this line are also the breeding stallions Magnus, Mandarin, Calvados I
und II,
Rocco,
Cortino I and II,
Captain Incipit, Colorado, Los Alamos, Lord Incipit, Lauritz J, Rossini,
Toledo, Rouletto, Caracas, My Lord and Sirius Son.
